Ringo Rocha Reboucas
Ringo Rocha Reboucas is a Ph.D. candidate at the Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and Technical Hydromechanics (IWD) at Dresden University of Technology, in cooperation with the Complex Infrastructure Systems (CIS) group at Princeton University and co-supervised by Prof. Jürgen Hackl. With a diverse background in civil engineering, road safety, project management, and hydrosciences, he investigates the reliability of highway networks under flood stress in order to strengthen the resilience of Germany’s transport infrastructure. His research integrates physical modeling at TU Dresden's Hubert-Engels-Laboratory with numerical flood damage simulations and case-based damage analysis. He is particularly interested in understanding the hydrodynamic conditions that lead to flood damage and exploring adaptation strategies at a network level. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, jogging, and traveling.
