Dr. Ming Shan (Charmaine) Ng is currently an Professor at the Kyoto Institute of Technology, leading the Chair of Architecture, Construction and Innovation (建築構法イノベーション研究室 ). Her lab's research foci include complex systems design, DfMA, digital transformation (DX), project management and contracting, governance for DX, actor-networks studies, and sustainability and circularity, as well as and construction history. Besides her academic achievements, Dr. Ng is a chartered architect in Switzerland and the U.K., a qualified sustainable design professional (LEED AP) and a registered member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. She worked on multiple award-winning architecture projects such as the Google Bay View Headquarters and Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 5.
