Michael Gan is an undergraduate in the ORFE department. He is interested in applying data science and machine learning to transport and energy systems. Before joining CIS, he worked with the Energy Systems Analysis Group at Princeton’s Andlinger Center, simulating the deployment of carbon management infrastructure in California under different policy pathways. At CIS, he is currently modeling the New York City subway using SUMO, analyzing outputs against real-world ridership data and helping build datasets for further network research.
